EatingMinds is a platform for connecting — not a chaperone
We help professionals find each other. We don't run background checks, verify identities or employers, or attend, organise or supervise any meeting. Badges only mean a phone number was verified or a LinkedIn account was connected. You decide whether to meet, and you meet at your own risk — so please follow these guidelines every time.
Before and during a meeting
Meet in a busy public place
A café, restaurant or food court with other people around. Never meet at someone’s home, hotel room or a secluded spot — and don’t accept a change of venue to somewhere private.
Tell someone your plans
Share who you’re meeting, where and when with a friend or family member. Keep your phone charged.
Get there and back on your own
Use your own transport or a cab you booked. Don’t accept a ride from someone you’ve just met.
Keep money and personal details private
Never share bank or card details, OTPs, ID numbers or your home address. Nobody genuine will ask you for money, an investment or a fee for a job or introduction.
Stay in control
Keep an eye on your food, drink and belongings. Avoid alcohol or anything that clouds your judgement at a first meeting.
Trust your instincts
If something feels off — before or during the meeting — leave. You don’t owe anyone an explanation.
Before you say yes
- Look at their profile and LinkedIn. A thin profile, no photo or a story that doesn't add up is a reason to pass.
- Keep the conversation in the EatingMinds chat until you've met — then you can block or report if needed.
- Agree on the exact public venue and time in the chat, so there's a record.
- Be wary of anyone who pushes for a private place, asks for money, pitches a scheme, or moves too fast.
If something goes wrong
In an emergency, call 112 (police, ambulance, fire — anywhere in India). Women's helpline: 181. Cyber fraud: 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in.
Block or report from the ••• menu on their profile or in your chat. Blocking hides you from each other and cancels upcoming meals with them; they aren't told. Reports go to our team. You can also email eatingminds.care@gmail.com.
These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. They reduce risk but can't remove it; EatingMinds is not responsible for what happens at meetings between users.
